Meeting reflection

We are three students from class CLG. We’ve set the meeting in room J12 on Tuesday 19th March 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Rashed Alremeithi, H00247559, as chairman started the meeting. We were discussing the problem of traffic in Abu Dhabi, which is a problem in a city filled with life. Faris Alshamsi, H00202586, talked about some factors that result some streets to have more traffic than other streets. He mentioned e.g. how some streets are small, and cars pass through them all the time, or try to due to traffic. Accidents are also part of this problem. When people drive into an accident area they slow down the movement of the street traffic. Even though there aren’t a lot of accidents, they are still a part in slowing down the street traffic. Faris also mentioned how there are lots of cars, people leaving at the same time of work, and how some people drive below the street speed. Abdulrahman Aljunaibi, H00237389 made some suggestions and solutions to reduce the traffic, such as enlarging the existing roads, building a metro, providing lane for public transportation only, and applying Salik system in Abu Dhabi. Rashed also suggested that sharing a car between people can reduce traffic, like three people would use one car to go to work and back.

Rashed opened and closed the meeting in a good way. The other two members participated and shared their suggestions and what they think of the problem. Everyone was aware of what they were talking about and did a good job.
